The kindness of strangers

Just a quick one, about all the lovely people I have been meeting recently. That’s what I have been doing for the last few weeks- meeting people, explaining the Art Playground, seeing if there are ways we could work together, finding out about lots of amazing organisations and projects.

The thing that has struck me is how generous people have been with their time and their knowledge. I have left every single meeting feeling enthused, with new contacts and ideas.

In the start up process it’s often you, by yourself, going round in circles in your head. If you’re at that stage then my suggestion would be to set up some meetings. Talk to people who have done similar things or people you may want to work with in future. If nothing else it forces you to practice and refine how you present your idea and get a better understanding of how others see it.

Staff of Cheltenham Borough Council, enterprise support agencies, social enterprises and arts projects, I salute you. You are ace. Thank you.

Christina
